MiraclePay v MiraclePay Lite

We are often asked about the differences between MiraclePay and MiraclePay Lite and in what circumstances to quote one product over the other.  We have put together some facts and figures as detailed below:

MiraclePay is our flagship product and is a solution that will become a full scale worldwide HRM product set.

The Lite product is a simpler but effective payroll aimed at cost conscious businesses whose payroll requirements are less complex than others.  There are no plans to phase out either product and the Lite product will be developed and kept up to date with HMRC changes.

With respect to pricing, both products are priced the same up to 250 employees at which point the full product becomes more expensive.  The Microsoft objects are compatible.

When to sell MiraclePay Lite:

  • Where the employee count is under 250
  • The payroll process is not complex
  • It is not suitable for bureau or agency users

When to sell MiraclePay

  • If the employee count is over 500
  • If the payroll operation is at all complex
  • If the customer wants other facilities such as HR, P11d or Time and Attendance

Differences between the products

  • MiraclePay is more scalable
  • MiraclePay is more flexible
  • MiraclePay has a bureau option
  • Miracle Pay has a P11d option
  • MiraclePay is fully integrated to HR/Time and Attendance/Fleet
  • MiraclePay can cope with multiple tax regimes

MiraclePay:
  • Can automate statutory payments
  • Can automate payments for absences
  • Can automate payments after leaving
  • Has a timesheet option
  • Has a job costing option
  • Can apportion company on-costs
  • Has a basic in-built export to Word/Excel facility for user-defined reporting
  • Is date effective
  • Can allow the new tax year to start without finalising the old tax year
  • Has an Agency BACS process
  • Can cope with multiple BACS payments in the same tax period
  • Can apportion an employees costs across 'departments' (dimension 1)
  • Has pay profiles to speed up data set-up
  • Can deal with back pay
  • Can automate change of payroll
